The FTC filed its first law enforcement action against indivdual influencers, which has resulted in a settlement.  Trevor Martin and Thomas Cassell known on their YouTube channels as TmarTn and Syndicate settled with the FTC for endorsing the online gambling service, "Counter-Strike: Global Offensive" (also known as CS: GO), an online, multiplayer, first-person shooter game, without disclosing that they were the owners of the company and that they were paying other well-known social media influencers to promote the company without requiring them to disclose the payments in their posts.

Anyone who sells product online, runs blogs, writes for others, operates an affiliate site, or is a paid affilate should attend this session.  You will learn about the recent FTC Guidlines concerning online paid promotions, endorsements, and content/native advertising.
 
Also, this session will delve into the basics of how to conduct online contests, sweepstakes and raffles using social media websites such as Facebook and Twitter, as well as the importance of how not to run afoul of state and federal guidelines concerning contests.
